FAQ

Frequently asked questions about the platform

What is Censerva?

Operations software for ports and marine terminals. It holds vessels, port calls, the visit plan, movements between locations, service jobs, resources, incidents and supporting documents as one connected record, from the pilot boarding ground to departure. Billing evidence and invoicing are not built yet.

Can I buy it today?

No. Censerva is in pre-release and is not currently offered for sale. Pricing has not been published. If you run a port or terminal and would like to discuss a pilot, please contact us.

Where is my data stored?

In the European Union. The database is hosted in Frankfurt and the application runs in the Netherlands.

How is access controlled?

Every record belongs to one organisation, and that boundary is enforced by the database itself rather than by the application, so it holds even for a request made outside the interface. Roles today are owner, member and read-only viewer; a read-only member is refused writes by the database. Two-step sign-in is supported, and is required to read attached documents and the edit history.

Does it work without a connection?

Partly. When the connection drops, a movement's checks, start and finish are held on the device and sent when it returns, checked against the same operational rules the server applies, and shown as pending, never as confirmed, until the server has them. Other records still need a connection to save. Extending this to the rest of the product is planned, not built.

What can it actually do today?

The documentation describes what exists rather than what is planned, and includes a page on what the product does not yet do. It is the most honest answer to this question and is public, without signing in.
